Thanksgiving Recap.

Sundial + Red Dragons Thanksgiving at Ty's house!! Here we are making Dexter's Spam Musubi that he was supposed to make himself but didn't.

Well, as usual, I've gained about 5lbs from Thanksgiving break. Nonstop eating for the past 4 days. TERRIBLE. Starting tomorrow I've got to get back on track with a low carb/low cal diet. Need to start getting back into shape, especially with my 22nd birthday just around the corner. Anyways... on a scale of 1-10 I'd say my Thanksgiving would be around a 5. I honestly would rather not remember this Thanksgiving if I could.. it started off great with our annual thanksgiving potluck. But after that, the night ended horribly... I rather not mention the incident again because I would like to forget it. Let's just say though
SO MUCH DRAMA IN THE LBC
Well anyways, that night I didn't get home until about 3 or 3:30am and barely had time to see my mom off since she was going out of town for the break. The next day I had Thanksgiving Lunch/dinner with my family at my cousin's house. The best part was seeing my baby cousin. If I ever have a baby, I would want a baby like him. He's honestly the most well behaved baby you will ever meet. He's not fussy, he barely makes any noise, and when he cries, it doesn't take much to make him stop. We ended the night with a good game of Scrabble. I was in the lead... until I found out I accidently used the tile R as a blank space to make the word DECLINE. It was pretty funny though.. something only I would do that's for sure.

The next day all I did was eat and sleep. Didn't go Black Friday shopping, didn't do anything except go to SHARKS for Dexter's Birthday! It was a fun night minus getting beer spilled on me three different times that night. I literally was soaked in beer that night. It was a good, well needed night and just being with everyone I love and being in good company. I couldn't have asked for more.

HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY DEXTER!
I forgive you for purposely spilling your beer on me the second time. (:

Saturday and Sunday were uneventful. Did nothing but eat and sleep some more. So I guess I would say the highlight of my break would be Dexter's birthday and Sundial Thanksgiving. I'm really sad break is over, and I'm completely not looking forward to week 10 and finals week. The next two weeks will most definitely be CRUNCH TIME. Perhaps, I can lose the 5 lbs. from stress and lack of sleep I'll be getting in the next 14 days. Silver lining?

One Day Away from THANKSGIVING Break!

Today, I have come to the conclusion that GUYS SUCK. This may seem like a HUGE generalization, but I have yet to meet a guy that can prove my theories wrong. Are guys incapable of being genuinely kind without a hidden agenda? I mean of course I know PLENTY of great, stand up guys. But even then they still do things with a different intention. Maybe I'm holding them to a higher standard? I don't know. All I know is, that if I can do kind things and think of others without another motive, why can't guys?!

I'm sure this post may make some people upset and really defensive, but come ask me my theories first. I have so much proof, especially after what happened today. It's pretty disappointing when guys treat girls differently after their original intentions behind the way they first treated them didn't turn out the way they wanted. Where is the exception to my theory?! I would love to meet a guy who is GENUINELY kind and selfless to girls more than 50% of the time, because that's simply their nature.

BLAH.

Honorable Mention.

I just thought this bit of my conversation with Alex was worth mentioning/remembering. It may not make sense to a lot of people, but it's pretty hilarious to me.

Three Days Away from TURKEY DAY!

Last week was an intense and hectic week. Since Thursday night, I haven't done ONE OUNCE of work. It's been rejuvenating, relaxing, and just GOOD. However, being the workaholic that I am, I now feel behind on my school work and SSARC work.

On Friday after our staff meeting, Kristal and I went shopping at Irvine Spectrum, and it was just SO FUN. We got in some good exercise, bought lots of cute stuff, and had a well needed girl talk. It was definitely a good pick me up after a rough week. We eventually met up with Tiffani and had dinner at Red Robbin before she went to watch New Moon. By the way, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE NEW MOON. I AM TOTALLY FOR TEAM EDWARD/JACOB! Robert Pattinson is just completely dreamy and Taylor Lautner is plain out SEXY in the movie. I love a ripped man with a sexy muscular back. haha I don't care if Taylor Lautner is underage, I'd definitely be cougar status for that guy.

Speaking of New Moon, I was crazy enough to watch the midnight showing of the movie Thursday night with Jon Losch and Ella after only getting a total of 8 hours of sleep from the previous two days. It was SO fun hanging out with her and catching up after years of not seeing each other. We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory.. I ordered a very delicious Strawberry Daiquiri and we split some orgasimically yummy appetizers and then shared a Godiva Chocolate cheesecake. It was SO SO good, except for the aftermath. PEOPLE NEVER HAVE A STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI AND CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE TOGETHER. IT DOES NOT MIX WELL AT ALL. Although it was all delicious, I have learned my lesson haha.

So back to Friday... we had a potluck at our staff meeting which was really nice. Then after Kristal and I went shopping. That night I was supposed to go to a rugby party but I just got way too exhausted to dress up and deal with a lot of people, so instead I drove home. I caught up on the latest episode of Flash Forward and went to bed. Saturday I took my sister out to lunch at Babette's and then we went to Marina Pacifica to watch New Moon (yes, I watched it TWICE. haha it was THAT GOOD.). After, we went shopping at Cerritos Mall ... sales people are definitely forceful during the holidays... too many people invaded my personal bubble for sure. But anyways, I have to say it was nice just spending the day chilling with my sister. We don't get along that well very often, but it was a nice refresher.

Sunday of course is my blah day. Nothing exciting happened today. I have lots of work to do to prep for the UWM events happening this week. I hope and pray it all turns out well, or else I'll be getting an ear full. But instead of doing work, I'm about to go watch The Invention of Lying with my favies Jaime Ta!

(edit)
The Invention of Lying was a SUPER GOOD MOVIE! pretty hilarious. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Closer to the Finish Line

Ok so last night was a rough night for me. I was super tired, had to study, and then something happened which made me wanna cuss someone out. However, thank goodness I had the rest of the night to cool off and think rationally. So today, I handled my business and all went well! I believe people deserve second chances... but I DO NOT GIVE OUT THIRDS. Forgive... but don't forget.

Anyways on another note, I just finished taking my Econ 13 midterm. It wasn't TOO bad.. but I really want at least an A- in this class!!!! I can't be a Bus Econ major and not ace econ 13! That would be a sad day for me if I had to settle for a B. But then again... it would be my fault for not taking the class more seriously to study harder. I dunno, oh well I'm just gonna pray for some good results!

But the main reason for this blog is... I AM HAPPY AND PROUD TO SAY THAT MY APPLICATION FOR JET IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETED. All I need to do now is wake up super early tomorrow and Fedex the big packet over to Washington D.C. I'm glad that I decided to apply, for some reason it just feels like a right decision. And also it's nice to have the support of my mom behind me. I hope I make it to the interview round though, or else I'd be pretty disappointed. But we shall see in February... I will make sure to give my envelope a kiss for goodluck before sending it though!

Now I just have one LONG night and day tomorrow to get through before I can kick back and enjoy a nice drink and dinner with some good friends. (: WISH ME LUCK ON THIS RESEARCH PAPER.

OHEMGEE.

I seriously am SO STRUNG OUT right now. I have too many things on my plate to get done within the next week and a half. I'm most likely looking at a sleepless night tonight. Thank goodness I made myself go to Target to run some errands and I was smart to buy some Mocha Coffee Rockstar <3. My new go to drink to get me through the night.

Just to write down my train of thought, things to get done:
1. e-mail SSARC staff about USC event tomorrow
2. create sign up sheets for the Alliant and UWM events
3. send James an e-mail
4. e-mail students a reminder about the USC event tomorrow
5. JET application (this shit is seriously costing me a lot of money and time to put together. I had to pay $26 just to get an official transcript and a dinky proof of enrollment letter that I seriously could've just written myself! not to mention what I'll be paying to fed ex this packet over to the embassy in D.C.)
6. STUDY FOR ECON 13 MIDTERM ON WEDNESDAY!!!!!
7. RESEARCH PAPER DUE THURSDAY!!!!!!

fuck. looking at that list now makes me want to kill myself. but this is the price I pay for getting so involved. it just gets hard sometimes to think about the bigger picture and the benefits for all my hard work and sacrifices. I can feel myself slowly turning into a workaholic each and everyday... all I have to say is this damn well better PAY OFF IN THE END.

I need to keep my eyes on the prize: THURSDAY NIGHT DINNER & HAPPY HOUR WITH ELLA AND MIDNIGHT SHOWING OF TWILIGHT!

oh yes and p.s. i found out that i was on the dean's honors list last winter quarter. i can't believe i found out A YEAR LATER. thanks school. i could've had this shit on my resume this whole time! =/

ok time to get back to work.

OH NOOOO!!!

Currently listening to:

Johnny - Melanie Fiona

I reached the 40 hours listening limit on Pandora today!!!!!!!!! I'm genuinely really sad. What am I supposed to do for some good study music?! I'll probably have to use imeem now but I don't like the suggested music they play. AH! SADNESSSSSSSS!!!!
